Pizza partying.

A full length outfit of me, fat and pale skinned with short blonde hair, wearing an animal print dress with a dipped back hem, black leggings and lace up sandals. One hand is on my hip and the other carries my black bag.

Last night I attended a pizza party at Vespa for a dear friend’s 30th birthday! Super exciting! But more exciting than pizza were the crispy polenta pieces. SO good, if you are near a Vespa Pizza you need to try them. I bought this dress from Yours Clothing a few weeks ago because I’ve wanted a dip hem dress for quite a while but have never liked any of the styles I’ve seen available in plus size retailers. This one has an animal print and sleeves = formula for victory.

A photo of my head and shoulders, my hair is swept to the side as usual and I'm wearing a pink lipstick.
A photo of my hand on my hip, I wear a big round plastic stone ring, lots of thin bangles and my zombie apocalypse nails.

A full length photo of me showing off the dipped back hem of my dress, blurred a little from motion.

A while ago I pointed out someone wearing a really lovely floaty dip hem dress to Nick and asked if he thought it was just the most gorgeous thing ever. He said he didn’t understand the point. Sigh. Never ask Nick for advice on aesthetics!

Dress: Yours Clothing
Leggings: City Chic (who no longer stock size 24 so I guess they’re not getting my business anymore)

  1. That dress is awesome. I have bought from Yours Clothing before and even though its often hit and miss, there is usually some hidden gem.
I didn’t know about City Chic not carrying a 24 any more. They still have the XL sizes don’t they? Boo for them. That’s a dark move.

  2. Wow! I’ve never seen a dress or top with a dip hem that I’ve liked either, but I do like that one! Maybe it’s because most of the models shown wearing one are too small for the dress and it looks lumpy rather than beautifully draped as it is on you.

  3. Wow! What a fantastic outfit! I LOVE love love your dress. Very stylish, and the colours really suit you!

I can’t believe City Chic aren’t going up to a 24 anymore. They now officially suck in my book. There goes my business too, and even though I make most of my clothes, all my other clothes are usually from them.

  4. OMG you look so fab. Your hair (that blonde is fresh to death), the cut of the dress, your accessories game. Absolutely sickening!

  6. Wow! I have to admit, I’ve never really been completely on board with the whole “fat acceptance” movement (god knows how I ended up on your site, I honestly can’t remember ha ha)… but christ… you are absolutely stunning (and this is coming from a straight female!). Your style, hair, fashion sense… all of it is beautiful! Also, total brownie points for living in Brisbane aswell ;-D
